12 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

For those of you who have been following my blog for some time you know that my focus is on providing tips and motivation to declutter and simplify your life. Other than reading the About page on my website or reading the About Me post I created, you might not know much else about me.

Thanks to Olivia over at Olivia Lucie Blake, I got the idea to write a post to provide some fun facts so you can get to know me better. If you aren’t familiar with Olivia‘s blog you should check it out! Her blog was one of the first I started following when I joined WordPress. She offers a lot of great advice about blogging as well as life in general.

  4. My favorite song is Imagine by John Lennon.

Hi!! My name is Suzanne and I live in central PA with my husband and three girls. I love yoga, pickleball, camping, spending time with my family, and decluttering!

  1. I love the song Imagine. When I was 18, I went to France to study for the summer. I met a Spanish girl there who didn’t speak English. She sang and played guitar. One day she sat down and played and sang Imagine, and we all sang along. Seeing people from different countries who all spoke different languages singing that song was a real reminder of the power of music to unite people. I think that’s what John Lennon had in mind when he wrote it.

  2. Hi, Suzanne, thank you for sharing! I believe you and I have a lot in common, but not much of it is included in your list here! Oh, but I will be camping in California’s Sierra Nevada with my significant other (who has never before camped!) in early summer! Hope your weekend is going well! 🌞

  3. That was an awesome share. I don’t know what I would say but I hope it makes me sound as interesting as you do.
I also agree about Olivia. She offers some interesting and often pertinent advice.

    1. I’m glad you liked it! Coming up with some of the stuff on that list took some thinking but I was trying to find facts that weren’t obvious.

Olivia always has great posts! I’m excited to hear that you enjoy reading her thoughts as well.

  4. I live in Central Pennsylvania too but my camping days are over. In those days when I did camp in a tent, I was a minimalist without having it labeled and without any effort. My husband was a teacher and it was during the 1970s with gas lines on odd and even days. Money was tight so only essentials were purchased and it was easy to be decluttered. I could never have imagined then that in my retirement I would have a condo that needs to be pared down for this next phase of life. The problems of a baby boomer who worked hard with 3 jobs at times to make ends meet.
