Every day there is kindness all around us. Many times these are simple gestures that are easy to overlook. Recently, I have been trying to pay more attention and acknowledge the kindness that I see. So without further ado, Iโd like to send out a few thank you notes to the strangers who recently showed me kindness.
Thank you…
Thank you, stranger, for your pleasant smile as we passed in the store. I was lost in thought and your smile brought me back to the present moment.
Thank you, stranger, for taking my shopping cart back while I loaded my kids in the car. You made me smile and even my kids remarked on your generosity.
Thank you, stranger, for letting me back on the congested highway after I had to pull to the side. I know that wherever you had to be was just as important as where I needed to be and I appreciate your assistance with helping me get back on track.
Thank you, stranger, for the nice chat we had while waiting a few minutes for Aldi to open. You helped entertain my kids and made my shopping experience better.
Thank you, stranger, for stopping me on the beach to introduce yourself and pay me a kind compliment. Your nice words gave me a confidence boost.
Thank you, stranger, for the elephant beach blanket you gave my two-year-old at the campground. You helped to calm her down when she was upset.
Do you have any strangers that you would like to send a thank-you note to show that you appreciate their kindness? Leave a comment with your thank you stranger note!
What a neat post! I love when strangers make our days better. I always try to be that stranger to other, too.
Thanks! That is great that you strive to be that stranger to others. If everyone treated everyone else with a little extra kindness the world would be a better place. ๐
Wonderful to appreciate these small acts of kindness. They can make such large shifts. Thank you for your post!
I agree. These small acts of kindness may seem insignificant but they set off a ripple effect to happiness.
Aww this is such a cute idea.
Thanks! The whole post just popped in my head after that person let me back on the crowded highway!
This was lovely. I have a few of these myself. It helps us keep going.
Thanks for reading. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I so appreciate that you infuse love in all of your posts, Suzanne. Your gratitude for small acts of kindness could be the reason you’re witnessing so many of them! My gratitude today is for an act that filled my heart yesterday. We have lived next door to the same family for a couple years now. I’ve made attempts to get to know them, like taking them freshly made Christmas goodies & inviting them to join us for dinner twice, but they’ve ignored the invites & remained distant. Yesterday, as I was finishing my evening stroll, the wife stopped me, offering cherry tomatoes & jalapeรฑos from her small front-yard garden. I accepted her gifts, and we stood and talked for like 20 minutes. She was super nice, after I’d felt all this time that they didn’t like us for some reason. What a blessing! Thank you for sharing your joyful, loving demeanor. ๐
Thanks for your kind compliment. Iโm glad you had a nice interaction with your neighbor. Itโs never fun to be around people you get negative vibes from, especially someone you see so often. Hopefully moving forward youโll have many more nice chats! ๐
I hope so too, thanks! ๐
